The graph shown here demonstrates KEMET’s C0G technology versus a competitor X7R. While the KEMET capacitor shows almost no capacitance shift with temperature and voltage the competitor X7R capacitor has almost a 50% drop in capacitance at applied voltage and 200°C. Lower capacitance will result in lower available energy and current for the detonation process.
