The BEI15 Series features a wide 4:1 input range of either 9-36V or 18-75V as well as bipolar outputs. The term “bipolar” means two polarities of the same voltage such as ±5V, ±12V or ±15V. Boasting high efficiencies up to 86%, the BEI15 Series also offers input-output isolation with basic protection up to 2250VDC. For systems requiring controlled startup and shutdown, remote On/Off control is available with positive or negative polarity. In addition, with a low profile open frame package, the BEI15 Series operates within the industry range of -40°C to 85°C. Safety approved to UL/EN/IEC 60950-1 certification and RoHS-6 compliant, the BEI15 also offers optional features such as conformal coating. Conformal coating is typically used on products that will be exposed to the elements or high humidity environments. The conformal coating prevents moisture, chemicals or dirt from contaminating the components on the printed circuit board.
