E-Mobility AC Vehicle Inlets

Phoenix Contact previously released the CHARX Generation 4 universal vehicle charging inlets for combined charging systems (CCS) capable of accepting DC or AC charge currents and are now introducing dedicated AC inlets. These inlets meet the standard requirements for Type 1 North America and Type 2 Europe. The AC inlets are a perfect fit for any electric vehicle where DC charging is not needed. The AC inlets in Type 1 and Type 2 have uniform dimensional characteristics, providing the vehicle manufacturer with one mounting configuration.

The inlets are fully assembled, including locking actuator temperature sensors and dust caps. The current rating for Type 1 is 48 A or 80 A, with Type 2 rated at 32 A in single or three-phase configurations. Power cables have a standard 2 meter length with other options available upon request.
