PKE7000A/8000A Series Ultra-Wide DC/DC Converters

Flex Power Modules' PKE7000A and PKE8000A series of DC/DC power modules for the industrial and railways sectors are available in sealed and encapsulated packaging to ensure reliability in environments with dust, moisture, severe vibration, and other harsh conditions. These modules are packaged in the industry-standard 2-inch x 1-inch form-factor.

For industrial applications, the PKE8000A series provides highly reliable, high-performance, and rugged DC/DC solutions that run from 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V supply voltages thanks to its ultra-wide input range of 9 V to 75 V. Delivering up to 40 W of output power at up to 91% efficiency, the series offers mean time between failures (MTBF) of up to four million hours and input-to-output isolation of 2,250 V_DC. The PKE8000A devices meet the IEC/EN/UL62368-1 safety standard.

For railways applications, the PKE7000A series operates from a 43 V to 160 V input, delivering up to 30 W. This makes the series suitable for most of onboard requirements running from 72 V and/or 110 V nominal supplies (most common in the railways sector). The devices comply with the EN50155 railway-standard and offer MTBF figures of up to five million hours to satisfy the most demanding applications.
