onsemi presents their FUSB307B, which is a USB Type-C port controller with USB-PD. This IC is ideal for system designers who are looking to implement up to four USB Type-C port controllers with USB-PD capabilities. The solution provides integrated Type-C detection circuitry enabling manual attach and detach detection. Time critical power delivery functionality is handled autonomously, offloading the microprocessor or Type-C port manager. Additionally, this device complies with the USB−PD Interface Specification Rev 1.0 as a TCPC for a standardized interface with TCPM. Other features include VBUS source and sinking control, 10-bit VBUS ADC, programmable GPIOs, four selectable I2C addresses, dead battery operation, and more.
