When compared to a core-based solution, the TLE4973’s core-less sensing technology has clear advantages, including no saturation risk, no hysteresis, high linearity, low dependency on temperature and lifetime, and a small form factor. The advantages of the core solutions include no insertion resistance, low noise sensitivity, and ease of integration. The additional effort needed to integrate the TLE4973 is done only once, and Infineon can provide the necessary tools to facilitate this effort. Besides the evaluation boards and programmers, there is a software simulator to help with the integration of this current sensor.
