The FH12 connector is simple to operate. After the connector is soldered to the PCB, rotate the actuator to the open position, insert the FPC/FFC with the conductive traces facing the correct direction, and rotate the actuator back down to the closed position. Closing the actuator will apply contact force against the FPC surfaces, making a secure, gas-tight, electrical/mechanical connection. Care should be taken to ensure that the FPC/FFC rests squarely on the contacts and is not “skewed” or misaligned. The conductive traces should be properly orientated to the PCB and the contacts.
