Texas Instruments’ ADS7142/-Q1 12-bit, 140-kSPS SAR ADCs can autonomously monitor signals while maximizing system power, reliability, and performance. The automotive version ADS7142-Q1 is I2C-compatible with programmable threshold and host wake-up. These ADCs implement event-triggered interrupts per channel using a digital windowed comparator with programmable high and low thresholds, hysteresis, and event counter.
These devices include a dual-channel analog multiplexer in front of a SAR ADC followed by an internal data buffer for converting and capturing data from sensors. The ADS7142/-Q1 ADCs are available in a 10-pin QFN package and consume 900 nW of power. The small form-factor and low power consumption make these devices suitable for space-constrained and battery-powered applications.
