56 Gbps NRZ (Non-Return-to-Zero) is a binary code using low and high signal levels to represent 1/0 information of digital logic signal. NRZ can only transmit 1 bit, i.e., a 0 or 1, of information per signal symbol period. The goal of NRZ is to transmit bytes of data over coax, fiber, or a PCB trace. NRZ signals have a higher Nyquist frequency, which is the bandwidth of a sampled signal, it is equal to half the sampling frequency of the signal. Connector systems such as Samtec NovaRay® and AcceleRate® HP Arrays are capable of 56 Gpbs NRZ and are well-suited for your high-speed application.
