Texas Instruments presents their LMZM33606 6-amp power module. This easy-to-use integrated power solution combines a 6-amp DC-to-DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passive components all in a low-profile package. This versatile power solution requires as few as four external components and eliminates the loop compensation and inductor part selection from the design process. This 16-millimeter by 10-millimeter by 4-millimeter, 41-pin, QFN package allows for easy soldering onto a PCB, allowing for a compact, low-profile point-of-load power solution. This power module supports 5-volt, 12-volt, 24-volt, and 28-volt input rails, and has an output voltage range from 1 volt to 20 volts. Other features include power good output, adjustable soft start, programmable UVLO, over-current and over-temperature protection, and more.
