Image of VAC Magnetics's Nanocrystalline Cores for EMI Filtering VAC Magnetics' cores are used for the filtering of the common mode noise. The noise spectrum of power electronics for industrial applications is regulated according to EN 55011 in order to reduce the EMI between devices. Accordingly, it is required to implement EMI filters to attenuate the noise. These filters consist of a network of capacitors and inductors. Cores based on nanocrystalline VITROPERM® offer high attenuation in compact designs for a wide range of EMI requirements.

The cores for automotive applications are developed for noise suppression of the high-voltage DC battery or at the DC output of the drive inverter as well as the AVC output of the drive inverter in hybrid and electric vehicles.
