TPT1021Q Automotive LIN Transceiver

The TPT1021Q from 3PEAK is a local interconnect network (LIN) transceiver that complies with SAE J2602, ISO 17987-4, LIN 2.0A, 2.1A, 2.2A, and LIN 2.2A standards. It offers overvoltage, loss of ground, overtemperature shutdown, and data rates up to 20 kbps. Automotive in-vehicle sub-networks are supported by LIN, a low-speed universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) communication protocol. With the improved timing margin, the device can handle LIN networks with a throughput of up to 20 Kbps. To minimize electromagnetic emission (EME), the device converts the transmitted data received at the TXD with the optimized slew rate and reports the LIN BUS state at the RXD. The gadget has overvoltage and loss of ground protection from -45 V to +45 V, as well as over-temperature shutdown, as intended. The gadget can wake up locally using the WAKE_N pin and on the LIN BUS, allowing for low-power standby and sleep modes. The device's INH pin regulates voltage to lower power consumption at the system level. A pull-high resistor is integrated into the device.
