Shown on this slide is an overview of the software tools. As was mentioned previously, there is a graphical user interface that allows the user to test all of the functionalities of the SPIRIT1, particularly: the radio configuration; basic radio frequency tests such as transmission, within un-modulated carrier, with PN9 sequence, the activation, of the receiver; and packet transmission and reception test with a PER evaluation. It is also possible also to test the encryption engine and decryption engine. Additionally, it is possible to directly write each register of the SPIRIT1 through the graphical user interface. The same Spirit1 GUI works conveniently with both the USB dongle and larger evaluation kit.
