Shown here are more details about the magnetic impedance based sensors. MI sensors are all built and structured around micro coils wrapped around amorphous wires. The crystal structure-free FeCoSiB alloy magnetic wire manufactured using a special manufacturing method is an ideal material for high sensitivity magnetic sensors that exhibit soft magnetic properties. With this method the MI sensor is able to reach sensitivity levels 100 times the amount as Hall based sensors and 10 times the amount of xMR based sensors. This sensitivity is the key factor that makes MI sensors ideal for current sensing applications.
