Supercapacitor Construction

Supercapacitor construction is based on a structure having an activated carbon anode and cathode, with an organic electrolyte. This is unlike standard electrolytic electrolytes. Supercapacitors are also called electric double layer or EDLC capacitors because the energy is stored in a carbon electrolyte interface area.
