Knowles Dielectric Labs' Border-Cap series are high-performance and high-frequency single-layer capacitors for RF microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The Border-Cap is a conventional parallel plate capacitor with recessed metallization. These single-layer capacitors with recessed metallization are available with borders on one or both sides. The recessed metallization has been designed to minimize the potential of shorting during attachment (epoxy or solder).
